 Informatics is the innovation driver of our time. From social media and artificial intelligence to autonomous cyber-physical systems: informatics-driven, digital products services permeate society in significant ways. Computer scientists, whether researchers or software developers, are shaping tomorrow's society. As a consequence, ethical, societal, practical reasons demand that students computer science related subjects should receive at least basic ethical education be able do justice their ever-growing responsibilities duties. Ethics for Nerds an award-winning lecture being taught annually Saarland University since 2016. The course has been continually updated progressively improved over years. In this paper, we share experiences with best practices teaching basics ethics offer advice on how design successful as part study program.
